When I opened my eyes, I saw a white ceiling and various monitors around me. There were tubes up my nose and down my arms and as I woke up some of the machines began to beep softly.
I felt someone holding my hand, the touch felt like a tingling sensation. I looked at my hand and straight into the bluest eyes I had ever seen and were already so familiar.
"Hey. How are you feeling?"
I tried to say something but no sound came out of my throat except a cough. Joshua quickly gave me a glass of water, which I drank gratefully.
"Where am I?" I asked.
"In the pack hospital, you were unconscious."
"Oh."
I had expected to be in a hospital, but not that the pack had its own.
