Finally, it"s Saturday, and I don"t have to go to school. "Uncle Billy go to work today?" I ask Willa in the morning when I go into the kitchen for a bowl of cereal. "No. He"s meeting up with his workmates, talking about what"s been going on at the mill." "The owners not gonna give it a try the old way then?" "They"re still working that out." "Is that what Billy"s visiting "bout?" "That and other things," she answers. "Like what?" "Billy says the mill is still logging, just not in the Albertson"s woods. The new crew the owners brought in are taking over the work and pushing Billy and the regular guys out." I think on that for a while as I pour cereal into a bowl and add milk. "Why is that?
