The group was still waiting outside the hospital’s operating theatres when Zake and Cody left, only to return thirty minutes later. They had with them two waitresses who were carrying sandwiches, muffins and coffee for everyone. The group looked at the food and appreciated the gesture but were too sad to eat anything.
“Listen here, the two people in there are our besties. You are going to eat this food whether you like it or not, because we can not afford to have any of you collapsing of hunger while worried about them,” Zake said sternly while looking at them like they were little children.
