I frowned as I walked out of Riley’s room, trying to process what I just heard from her.
“What hurt you this much, Riley? What the hell is going through your mind?” I asked, voicing out my confusion despite her being inside the room, and despite knowing that she had the water open in the bathroom as she ‘pretended’ to shower.
