Chapter 1 : All good things that are going to happen

ALL THE GOOD THINGS THAT ARE GOING TO HAPPEN

Corey's POV :

" Corey, come to my office after your shift is over ", my current boss said .

Am I going to be fired ... ?

No .. no.. I can not be fired .

How would I take care of myself then ..?

This job is the only hope I have right now . Please lord have mercy on me. I knocked twice before entering the office .

" Corey , do you remember Mr. Henry Walker " she asked in a low voice .

I nodded my head . Mr. Walker is one of our regulars . He came at least twice a week for some business meeting or just for lunch . He always requested me to serve him and gave me nice tip every time .

" He wants you to look after his grandchildren," she said . " I already checked everything , this job is very nice . You can stay there as long as the children are in the care of Mr. Walker. So do you want this job or not "... ? she asked .

I was confused now . Won't she get mad if I accept this job ...?

Upon realizing my confusion, she said ," Mr. Walker is one of the most prestigious and well respected people . If you accept this job, it could benefit our restaurant . So, in my opinion, you should take this and, if you ever want to return, then your job will always be ready for you ."

" Okay then.. I can take this job " I said .

" Take this, call on this number and finalize everything ." she said, giving me a card .

An hour later, I was on my way to Mr. Walker's home because his secretary wanted to see me . I reached the address given to me . The guards let me in and I rang the bell twice . A lady in her mid or late thirties opened the door .

' Hii.. I am Corey Miller ". I introduced myself .

" Yes Mr. Miller , I am Rosa Williams ", She said . " How old are you because you look like you are not very experienced, " she said while walking .

" I am twenty and, on the contrary, I did babysit some children for about a year before working as a waiter ." I politely said .

" Okay, then listen carefully . Mr. Walker has two grandchildren. Elizabeth is eight years old, while Luke is four . The children are nice, though Luke is kind of a problem . A cook is already here, so you don't have to cook anything . All you have to do is take care of them . They are here for Christmas . This is your room with an attached bathroom . The kid's room is upstairs ", she said .

I was checking out my room . Its been years since I had a decent place to live .

" So you can start now if you want. Your salary will be $100 per day, " she said .

" I have some things to pick up, so I think tomorrow morning will be fine " I suggested .

" Tomorrow it is then" she said .

' Good night Ms. Williams ' I greeted and left .

It took me almost two hours to reach home . I cooked some noodles and slept peacefully thinking about all the good things that are going to happen tomorrow .

Alex's POV :

" Congrats Bro , I am really happy for you and don't worry, we will all visit you when we have some time " I said over the phone and hung up .

" Who was it " Alvin, my younger brother asked .

" Derek , he wants all of us to visit him and Arhaan " I replied .

" So he can rub his happiness on our faces . There is no need for it " Allen, my younger brother, said .

I know he sounds rude, but it's the way he is. We are triplet alphas . Alex, Alvin and Allen Blackmoon . I was the older one by two minutes . We all shifted when we were fourteen . All our pack members and cousins were shocked and proud . Even after shifting at a really young age, it's been nine years and we still haven't found our mate . All of our cousins are living their dream life with mate and child . Over the years of searching, when we didn't find our mate it changed us completely . So, spare us if we are not all happy and bubbly after hearing from our cousin Derek .

" So do we have to go to Mr. Walker's Party ", Allen asked, clearly not interested in socializing with people .

" Well, we should because we are going to be business partners soon " I said .

" Well then, why don't you go alone ", Alvin suggested .

" Okay, then I will go alone " I said, and went to my room .
