"Luci will pick you up after school. I should be home a little earlier from practice." I tell Cole as I hug him at his classroom door.
"Daddy, can Luci eat with us?" I wave to Mrs. Hutchins.
"Sure. You want to ask her?" I run my fingers through his hair after removing his hat. It will be getting even colder tomorrow after the line of storms tonight. I need to check the radar to see when Luci needs to already be home. I doubt she can drive well in the storms.
"I will. Daddy, are we going Christmas shopping soon? I need you to take me." He frowns hard. "But I need Luci to take me too."
"Got your shopping list ready to go huh buddy?" I laugh a little. "I can take you Sunday with your uncles. Maybe Luci could take you after school tomorrow."
He brightens up immediately. "I'll ask
