My head is spinning. Finding Dalton waiting for us here was enough of a shock, but now we know it’s actually Dalton and not his wolf in control, and he’s saying he wants to help us get away, and I feel like I don’t know which way is up anymore.
Dalton says he doesn’t want to hurt me, but that Nyko wants to use me as an ‘offering’. I don’t know exactly what that means but it doesn’t sound good.
I wish we had time to figure it all out without the threat of imminent capture hanging over our heads, but we don’t. A decision needs to be made as Drew turns to me, his eyes full of trust and support, and asks what I want to do.
It’s clear Dalton’s control is tenuous, but the fact that Drew is even considering it must mean that he doesn’t have any options that are significantly b
