This isn’t the way I expected this to go, but then, things have been completely off the rails ever since I saw Bree at the party last night. By now, I might as well expect the unexpected.
Quinn is coming here, together with Salazar, probably, and who knows who else. All she said was ‘we’, and the fact that she’s on her way shows me just how seriously she’s taking this. She didn’t accompany Carter in the first place because of her pregnancy, or at least that’s what I was told. Now that I think about it, perhaps that wasn’t the reason at all. Perhaps she stayed home because they knew it might be dangerous? Would the king be upset with me that she was coming here now?
