Chapter 25
Callie's POV...
I giggled sensing Xander's discomfort. As he stiffly walked away, his aunt sat back at her table and motioned for me to sit next to her. I did so and she discreetly took out her phone. "I was actually hopping to meet you tonight. I'm guessing you know about Xander's parents." I nodded and she continued, "Well, after their deaths, I was the only family Xander had left and I had always hoped for him to meet his true mate so she could help him through his pain and so I could show her this."
She clicked a file that read 'For Xander's Mate'. When I saw the first picture I covered my mouth to stop myself from laughing too loud. There he was, mighty Xander without his front teeth and a clown beside him. In the picture, Xander was looking scared as he cried.
