As we give chase to the two rogues I can’t shake this nagging feeling. Something doesn’t sit right with me or Atlas.
Just then I get an urgent link from one of the warriors I had with Layla. “Alpha thirty rogues are closing in on Derek, the female and I.”
“On my way, Mark. Hold them off!”
Shit! These two were a distraction to lead us away from her Atlas.
He has already turned and is racing back to Layla. “They are all dead!”
I link Ryan “where are you?”
“Closing in fast with ten warriors!” He growls.
Atlas runs like hell’s fire is licking at his heels. We round two large trees and see Persephone tearing one rogue apart while Mark and Derek each take on one. Another leaps at them and she knocks him away. We are running their way when I see ten of them attack at once. Five
