Erik I ransacked the room searching for any other evidence but coming up short. Silas’ cautions fell on deaf ears. I slammed the door closed on the twisted trophy room and sprinted for the hospital, leaving a panting Silas in my wake, trying to keep up. The corridor outside the hospital smelled thickly of blood, and my heart pounded in my ears.
