“Hey, Rachel.” Emmy's voice took over the air, her heart aching in pain, and her chest hurting as she watched her world crumble right in front of her.
“Hey Emmy are you okay?” Rachel panicked over the phone after hearing her friend’s voice.
Emmy sniffed back the tears and shut her eyes closed just so she could bury the tears.
“No. No Rachel, I am not. My dad is marrying me off soon, an introduction would be held tomorrow.” she cried out and Rachel’s heart sank.
None of them was having it right, and Rachel knew it, but at At least her father was not being that hard on her.
“Take a deep breath, Emmy,” Rachel instructed her hands in the air like she was the one intending to take a breath.
