“Guh–guhuk!”
I coughed, trying to reach the water's surface with my hands as I felt something wrapping around my legs, holding me down. As a result, I choked on the lake water because I had been underwater for too long and ran out of oxygen.
My eyes turned red from being submerged, and my throat felt hot and tight. I tried to kick anything below me and struggled to swim to the surface. However, whatever was holding onto my legs wouldn't let go, tying them together and making it impossible for me to rise. I felt helpless as I grew weak from losing energy.
I couldn't! I mustn't die when I just received a blessing!
