Bernard looks around the area for any signs that there might have been a portal and finally finds a slight burn mark in the ground behind a tree root. “Max!”
He has to find a way to catch him and his friend! If he can capture them, he can go back through the portal and go home! The more hostages he has, the better protected he will be!
He’s not sure how often they had been here and rushes to town to find out who had seen them and how often, but the only information he gets is that they were at the tavern once.
He knows that they were here more than once! How were they doing this? How were they moving around without anyone seeing them?
