Aurora’s voice was soft, her words hesitant yet firm. “No… just let her be. Gaia must have made a mistake,” she said, her gaze dropping to the floor. Her words, meant to de-escalate the situation, only fueled Kate’s frustration. Kate’s mouth fell open in disbelief, and her eyebrows shot up as if she were physically restraining herself from screaming. “Are you serious right now?” she hissed. “Aurora, this is your chance to put that b***h in her place, and you’re just letting it slide?” Aurora gave a small, apologetic shrug, and Kate groaned loudly, throwing her hands in the air. “Unbelievable.
