Eddie frowned and got up from where he was sitting on the ground. Matty looked away from the tv and stared at his best friend in question.
“What’s wrong?”
Eddie’s frown deepened. “I don’t know. I thought I heard something.”
“Maybe it’s just Noah.”
Eddie shook his head, feeling uneasy, he turned to stare at the window where the stone had hit. “Hasn’t Noah been gone for too long?” Eddie asked, turning his gaze away from the window to look at Matty, who was getting up from his chair. They both looked at each other, unsure of what to do.
“I’ll go and check outside, you call him and ask where he is.” Eddie said after a minute of silence.
“Okay, I will.” Matty agreed and set about, pulling off the throw pillows to get his phone.
