Elijah bit his bottom lip and paced, his sock clad feet tapping the wooden ground as he does. On the bed behind him, covered in a blue and grey stripped duvet was Eddie, his chest rising and falling as he slept. The hospital room was private, the curtains were drawn in order to let Eddie sleep peacefully. According to what the doctor said, Eddie needed to be around a stable environment and should be calm. He threw up and felt weak because his body couldn’t adapt with stress. It has been six hours since the last time Eddie had woken up and then he had been up for just enough time to answer the questions the doctors asked, albeit groggily, almost as if his throat was itching.
