Jasper laid with Alaia in her bed. Neither had slept, but neither felt like moving out of bed yet. The moment they did, they’d be swept up into the crazy. Jasper sighed laying on his back looking up at the ceiling, as his phone pinged he lazily reached for it, and cursed as he saw the message.
“What is it?” Jasper groaned, “We spaced, we were supposed to be doing something with Stella and AJ for spring break.” Alaia thought about the week long excuse to not go to school. But considering her and Jasper were missing a lot of days already because of Renaldo, she wasn’t at all excited.
Burying her face in her pillow, Alaia admitted, “I can’t even think of a good enough lie to tell them.” Jasper threw his phone on the floor, “Me either.”
