Gretchen was sitting next to Hanson as they both sat grim. Walking in, Captain Terrance asked, “What’s wrong with you two? I thought you’d be jumping for joy after finding the guy who killed those sorority girls. And managed to save one of our biggest donors girlfriend from her stalker.”
Inhaling, Hanson admitted dryly, “The janitor was the killer, what a plot twist. Like a bad soap opera.” Gretchen nodded in agreement as she told her captain, “And Amelia is my best friend, I’d do anything for her. Besides we didn’t even do anything to Derek. He threw himself off a bridge instead of accepting the consequences. f*****g wimp.”
