A month seemed to sail by like days. Daniel had never thought he’d see the day, time seemed to be slow and fast simultaneously. But lately his nights blended, and it was all because of Amelia.
Laughing, talking, and going out together, Daniel was ecstatic every time his phone rang. It was only a few weeks in she was coming over to his place. Kicking off her shoes in the living room, she’d cooked in his kitchen and fallen asleep with him on the couch.
It was a sweet montage of happy memories that he tucked away in his pocket for the cold lonely days.
But none of his days were cold and lonely anymore. Even when he was at one of his companies about to either rip his hair out, she managed to make it better. If not by a text or a call, he got to see her sweet face smiling at him.
