Amelia went back to school feeling like she’d never left. After hugging every one of her students she pouted that she’d missed a month out of their time together. With summer right around the corner she didn’t have much longer before they were moving up a grade.
After art, reading, and a little math, she took them to lunch and then recess. She frowned when another teacher came out and almost groaned seeing Derek. He immediately made a beeline to her not even watching his kids haul ass to the playground.
“Hey!” He said eagerly coming over. Amelia couldn’t refuse as he all but tackled her into a too intimate hug and she had to push him lightly to make him release her. “How you been? I’ve missed you!” Derek cheesed as he sat beside her on the bench.
