“I’m being suspended?” Amelia questioned in a monotone. Principal Joyner looked at Amelia sadly, his handsome African American face showing his annoyance as well. “Yes, and you will be paid for the month you’re suspended.”
Waving that off, Amelia questioned, “It’s not the money, I’m more confused as to why I’m being suspended.” Principal Joyner sighed, “A teacher has made an allegation you were being inappropriate on school grounds.”
Fighting a scream, Amelia guessed, “Let me guess, it involves me kissing my boyfriend and the complainer is either Derek or Mariah. Correct?”
