Vivid Dreams and A Crush

Alaia moaned as Jasper’s fingers slid up her sides. She liked when they were skin to skin, could feel every inch of each other. Jasper kissed her seductively, his mouth spoke of promise. Promise of pleasure, promise of love making, promise of fulfillment. And she returned it with zest as she felt her hips grind into his. Jasper took off his shirt, and as he exposed his beautiful chest to her, Alaia sat up and licked and nipped until she was low on his hips. Right at his belt buckle. Jasper groaned as he put a hand on the wall above her head. Alaia began to unbuckle his pants, and as Jasper felt her suck him off. She suddenly rose. Hand still stroking him, her fangs came out and she bit down on his neck-. Sitting up Jasper panted as his entire body sweated. Pushing his wet hair off his face, Jasper looked down at his hard member under the covers and groaned. He’d been having dreams of Alaia for three nights. Since coming to the reservation, he thought he’d get a reprieve from all of it. But all he did was miss her and question if he was sane or not. Which he was going to go out on a limb and say not. He was obviously losing his damn mind and he knew the cause was simple. Alaia Knight was under his skin and a little thing like distance wasn’t fixing it. After brushing his teeth, Jasper went downstairs said good morning to his mom and Seth and bumped Lucy when she stole a piece of his toast. Davon looked up at him for a moment, nodded but kept quiet. Since he realized Jasper was here, he’d been quiet when he was around. Almost like a gentle bull in a very fragile china shop. He did not want to break not one dish. And Jasper was so far okay with the distance and respect Davon showed. Keeping his dad out of his mouth and not trying to parent him being one of them. After breakfast, Jasper sat on the beach looking at his phone. He wanted to text her, he wanted to call her, hear her voice. But he wouldn’t know what to say, and after spending almost three months with plenty to say it was baffling. Jasper could honestly admit to himself seeing Alaia rip Donny’s throat out like it was nothing had been terrifying. He had been a tiny bit afraid of her and her family when he was being held hostage by them. But now, out in free, his mind was still stuck on a loop of everything he now knew. And paired with the disbelief a vampire was even a real thing, there was also confusion. Because despite knowing a vampire was real, there was still the fact he was dating one. And he loved her. Was still in love with her, and that was a nutshell for him.   Jasper sighed as he felt a migraine coming on. And then he suddenly heard, “Hey.” Jumping a little, Jasper glanced over his shoulder at Roxie as she walked to him.  In little cut offs and a red bikini top, Roxie’s hip dipped with every move. As a little stud twinkling in her belly button, Roxie admittedly had a body even Jasper couldn’t ignore. But despite the fact of being two years younger than him, Roxie just wasn’t what he wanted. So, as she sat down beside him batting eyelashes and smiling at him, Jasper feared his niceness had landed him on the opposite side of a crush. A new concept for him since he had never been on the receiving end before. How do you shut down something before it started? Accepting the offered beer, Jasper took a sip as Roxie nervously glanced over at him, “So…what brings you back? I thought your last trip scared you off for good.” Jasper exhaled, “I thought so too. But I needed to get away, and I didn’t have anywhere else to go. So, I came here.” Roxie nodded and looked over at him, “Oh, is it your girlfriend?” Jasper blew a raspberry, “Yeah, something happened, and now it’s just messy.” Roxie bit her bottom lip, “Oh well I’m sorry. What happened? Did you two…breakup?” Taking a swig of beer, Jasper wondered if they did, “Not really, it’s just something with her family came to light and it was a lot to deal with. I couldn’t deal, I needed time to think. But now-.” Jasper blew a breath of frustration and chugged his beer. Roxie looked at him for a moment, “Whoa, that does appear to be stressing you.” Nervously gnawing her bottom lip, Roxie not so gently pried again, “So, did you two break up?” Fighting a curse at the double asked question, Jasper thought of an answer. He heard the hope there and wanted to dash it quick and fast. But he wasn’t that guy to act like he’s turned down a thousand girls. Nor would he be the guy to use a younger girl to forget his troubles like a major douche. And leading Roxie on would be nothing but that since his heart was still set on Alaia.   “No, we didn’t break up.” He finally answered as she impatiently waited, “It’s just a rough patch, we’ll work it out.” Roxie was bummed to hear it but played it smooth in front of Jasper. “Well here’s hoping.” She said softly both knowing they were hoping for opposite results. Her and Jasper stayed silent as they listened to the waves crashing on the shore.
