Mafia Type s**t

Jasper was getting off from work when suddenly a man approached him. “Mr. Wynter?” Jasper froze looking the man over confused. He was older than him, but how old he couldn’t tell. His presence said accent, his face said late twenties or early thirties. A bronze colored man with long hair pulled back in a ponytail, Jasper slowly nodded at the suit, “Can I help you?” Smiling in hoping to look friendly the man came off creepy as he waved to a familiar black car, “Mr. Knight would like to have a word with you.” Jasper inhaled feeling nerves build, every fiber of his being told him to run. Because in every horror movie he’d ever seen, this is the part where the skinny white boy gets offed for putting his hands in the cookie jar. But Jasper knew if this man standing by the car didn’t chase him down, he’d still have to face Eric eventually. And he’d rather not already look like a coward when he did so. So, he got into the car with as much confidence he could. But Eric Knight made Jasper nervous. The brown eyes shining down at him always seemed to be testing him. And while the test was unspoken, Jasper felt like he was already failing. And he hadn’t even signed his name yet. Eric inhaled and while he smelt tad nerves, he didn’t smell fear from Jasper. It was odd since in other boys that’d sniffed around his daughter, they all feared him. But Jasper met his eyes and greeted him like always, “Evening Mr. Knight, out for a late drive?” Eric smirked as he responded dryly, “In fact I was.” Jasper sat on the leather seat of the Maybach uncomfortable in such an expensive car. But Eric was easily laid back as he looked at Jasper carefully, “My daughter loves you.” Jasper felt euphoria crash through him at just the thought of that. “And I love her.” He told Eric honestly. Eric chuckled a little at the readied proclamation, “You’re a child. What do you possibly know of love?” Taking the supposed dismal, Jasper didn’t hold back. Now wasn’t the time for him to be a boy, “I know that since meeting Alaia I can’t even remember what it felt like not to have her in my life. This warm, bright, joyful, person who makes everything better with just a smile. A person who grabs life with both hands with this earning that makes me want to live even more.” Eric looked at Jasper closely as Jasper told him earnestly, “I know you don’t see me as worthy of Alaia yet. I’m willing to earn that from you, whatever the cost. I just need you to trust that when I say I love her I do.” Blowing out a deep breath, Jasper finally said it out loud, “And I’m going to ask her to marry me when we graduate.” Eric wasn’t surprised at all by Jasper’s declaration. Or the fact that he meant every word he said. “Well let’s see then.” Tapping the partition twice, the car was still for a second but then launched forward speeding out of the parking lot and down the road. Jasper fell back on the leather seat, his heart steady as he looked at Eric seriously, “Where are we going?” Eric shrugged, “To answer my daughter’s question.” Jasper c****d an eyebrow, “Which is?” Eric warily glanced over his scotch at Jasper, “Do you love her enough to accept her?”
