Avery couldn’t believe Noah had kissed her in front of everyone at the party on her birthday he’d kissed her hard with tongue. When he finally pulled away. She looked dazed at him. ‘W..w.what was that for?’
‘A birthday kiss.’ Was all he said.
After the fire works had died down they all went back inside she was still in shock he’d never kissed her like that before so why now? There had to be more behind it than just a birthday kiss, she knew him better than that. She knew he had a thing for her was he also f*****g crazy. She took a shot back.
‘What was that out there with Noah?’
She jumped up. ‘Matt.’
‘Well?!’
‘I don’t f*****g know. He said it was a birthday kiss.’
‘Why do I feel like it’s a little more than that.’
‘I’m not interested Matt. He knows that. Maybe you should trying asking your best friend what’s got into him cause I sure as hell don’t know.’ She said taking another shot glass taking it down in one.
‘I will and don’t drink too many of them or you’ll regret it in the morning .
She nodded and Matt walked away to find Noah.
‘He’s got it bad for you you know. Noah I mean.’
‘I know and I’m not interested.’
‘Does he know that your not?‘
‘It’s like talking to a brick Liam.’
‘A brick has got more sense.’

‘Come on you should be enjoying the party let’s find your friends.’

I joined my friends on the dance floor and we all danced with Matt, Liam, Noah and the rest of the g**g.
The night was slowly coming to an end and the slows started edging in. Liam asked me to dance, but Noah cut him dead and said I’d got a better offer. Why was he going all predatory on me? it wasn’t like Noah at all. Liam and I both looked shocked, everyone else just rolled their eyes. Liam backed away as Noah cut his eyes at him and almost growled at him. He held me close to him dancing slowly. ‘I know you don’t like me much, but I really like you Avery and I want you to be my girlfriend.’
‘I..I ‘
‘I know Avery you’re with that dooche, but he’s no good for you.’
‘And you are?’
‘I have more respect than he ever has. Just think about it.’ He said kissing her.
There wasn’t anything to think about he was friends with my brother and he was mine too. I couldn’t ruin that at any cost.

We all walked into school Monday. ‘So what was all that with Noah at the party?’’
‘Nothing.’ I lied I couldn’t tell them the truth Not ever.
‘He looked pretty into you.’
‘That’s Noah.’
‘We saw him Avery, outside and how he acted with Liam what’s going on?’
‘I don’t know.’
‘Hey girls.’ He shouted.
Avery turned and smiled so did her friends. ‘Rylan.’
He smiled, they all hugged and he pressed his lips kissing Avery with tongue.
Noah glaired angrily. ‘When the f**k did he get out of hospital?’
‘A few days a go.’
‘And how come I wasn’t informed?’ He asked angrily.
‘Don’t go on the defensive Noah, precautions were made the night before the party just incase he showed.’
‘He’s good at that.’ He’s ask glaring evilly at Rylan.
‘He’ll fall Noah and when he does we’ll be there believe me.’
‘He better Matt. I thought I was finally getting somewhere, we should’ve made sure he never left that hospital bed.’ He growled.
‘We will makes sure it’s longer next time Noah. Now get your head out of the clouds Avery is blinded by him and the sooner we get him the picture the better.‘
‘How are you Ry?’
‘I’m good.’
‘What happened?’
‘Some guys jumped me I didn’t get a clear view one them.’
‘Why did they jump you?’
‘I’m not sure maybe I pissed them off or something’ He looked at Avery. ‘I’m sorry I couldn’t make your birthday.’
‘You’re here now that’s all that matters.’
He smiled pulling a box out of his pocket. ‘This is for you happy late birthday.‘ he said passing it to her.
She took it off him opening the wrapping which contained a small box she opened it looking at the small silver ring with a blue stone in its centre. ‘It’s a promise ring. I promise I’ll always be there for you Avery every single day. You are the most important person in my life.’
She smiled kissing his cheek. ‘Thank you.’
‘Do you like it?’
‘I love it.
He smile grew on his face taking it out of the box slipping it on to her finger as Matt and his friends watched as she unwrapped the small box which held a silver ring and a blue Stone. ‘It’s a promise ring . I promise I’ll always be with you Avery. I promise this is forever and I will always have you back no matter what.‘
She smiled kissing him.
‘Do you like it?’
‘I love it.’
His smiled grew wider. Slipping it onto her finger. He leaned forward. ‘You do know this means you’ll never get rid of me.’
‘I don’t want to.’
He smiled pressing his lips on hers kissing her passionately. He looked up glaring evilly at Matt and his friends.
‘Did you just f*****g see that?’
‘I did.’ Matt said angrily.
‘What the f**k did he give her?’
‘A f*****g ring.’
‘What are we going to do Matt?’
‘We’re going to have a little chat’
‘How’s that going to have an effect Matt? he didn’t listen to the first warning.’
‘Well he’ll listen to the second.’ He looked at Ash. ‘Are the cameras up?’
‘They are.’
‘Let the fun and games begin boys. He won’t know what hit him.’
The bell rang Rylan pulled away from Avery and they walked away he glared dead at Matt and his friends.
Matt slammed Rylan up the wall. ‘I thought I told you to stay the f**k away from my sister.’
‘And I told you that was never going to happen.’
‘You stay the f**k away from her Benson or you’ll regret it.’
‘I’m not going anywhere. She loves me and I love her to.’
Matt laughed. Highly amused. ‘You don’t love her. You're just using her to get out of her what you can before you go to the next.’
‘What ever. I’m not leaving her.’
‘You will.’
‘Oh I don’t think so I’m not going anywhere.’
‘You will. I’ll make sure you do.’
‘Then I’ll tell Avery who put me in a coma.’
‘You wouldn’t dare.’
‘Watch me.’
Matt loosed him throwing punches at him. ‘This isn’t over Benson.’
‘Oh it is or you loose your sister for good.’ He said starring emotionless at Matt before walking away.
He was not loosing his sister to this prick ever. He’d make sure of it.
Noah sat next to Avery twisting her ring. ‘What’s this ?’
‘Rylan brought it me. It’s a promise ring.’
‘So what I asked you at the party?’
‘I’m sorry Noah I can’t I’m with Ry.’
He looked at her his eyes held sadness within them
‘I....’
He pressed his finger on her lips. ‘Don’t okay. I respect you and I respect your decision. I’m just let you know I’m here if you change your mind.‘
He removed his finger placing his lips on hers kissing her..
‘Gee get a room.’ Ash said walking in.
Avery shot back.
‘You’re not trying it on with my sister again are you?’
‘Who me? no.’
‘Bull shit.’ Connor coughed.
He just wished his friends wouldn’t keep coming in and ruining things he was doing a pretty good job of that on his own.
‘It’s not we’re just talking.’
‘You only talk with your tongue Noah.’
‘That’s what it’s there for.’
She smiled trying not to laugh but it was hard not to with the bellowing of laughter all around her. She loved these guys they were like family to her since her parents had up and left her and Matt to devend for themselves. Even though there were over protective mind over bearing at times she loved them all and that’s why she could never see a future with Noah it would be way to weird.
