Phoebe placed her handbag on her head as she ran across the road to the bus stop. She cleaned off the raindrops on her and shivered a little, wondering when the rain would stop and if she would still be able to catch the bus. She hugged her arm, rubbing her hands to create fiction and keep her warm. If she had known it would rain, she wouldn’t have agreed to work on her colleague’s work no matter how much she had begged.
