I was sitting by the pool with a beer, waiting for Hallie to come down, she was getting changed. The day had been good, not used to someone making a fuss that way over my birthday, well except Penny and my parents before we lost them. I sighed thinking about my parents, another year older without them. But I knew my parents wouldn’t want be feeling this way, they would want me to be enjoying it and that is what I was gonna do.
I don’t know what was taking her as long, she said she would be right behind me, that was ten minutes ago?
