Samantha pulled up to the school, Nolan and Nicholas bubbling with excitement in the backseat.
"We goin' to school, Mummy!" Nolan squealed, his chubby hands waving. "Yay, school!" Nicholas chimed in, his big brown eyes shining.
Samantha smiled, capturing their cheerful faces in the rearview mirror. As she helped them out of their car seats, they wriggled with anticipation.
"Bye-bye, Mummy!" Nolan and Nicholas chorused, planting sloppy kisses on her cheeks.
Samantha watched, her heart swelling, as they skipped hand-in-hand into their classroom. For the first time, she saw genuine excitement in their eyes when going to class.
Their tiny backpacks bounced with each step, and their identical giggles echoed through the hallway.
After dropping them off, Samantha set out on her job search.
