Her voice trembled, hesitation etched on her face. Michael's intensity made her heart race. She was scared of trusting Michael after what Gabriel had done.
But then, Amanda's words echoed in her mind: "The twins need a dad." She pictured Nolan and Nicholas's smiling faces, their laughter when Michael hugged them.
