My fated mate shoved me into a blazing fire on our mating night. His final words to me were a curse: “This is for Elara! You belong in hell!”

In that instant, I knew his ten years of feigned love were just a long, patient plot to avenge me.

As the flames consumed me, a figure crashed through the fire, holding me close and whispering my name, “Sera,” his voice shaking.

When I opened my eyes again, I was reborn. I had returned to the past, to the exact moment my mate, Damien, first fell for his omega lover.

This time, I wouldn't interfere. He wanted to break our engagement for her? I'd let him. The very night he called it off, I found the great Alpha King, pushed him onto the sofa, and stared him down. “Honey,” I purred, “how would you like to be my mate?”

Chapter 1: Sorry, Sera, I'm Late
Chapter 1: Sorry, Sera, I'm Late (Seraphina's POV) The acrid smell of gasoline filled my nostrils as Damien Volkov, the future Alpha's hands tightened around my throat. His amber eyes, once filled with love, now burned with pure hatred. I gasped for air, my vision blurring. This was supposed to be our mating ceremony night. Just hours ago, We held a grand wedding amidst everyone's envious gaze. I had been the happiest woman alive, finally united with my childhood sweetheart, my fated mate. Now he was trying to murder me. "Damien, please‚Why?" I choked out, but his fingers only pressed harder. "You killed her," he snarled, his grip crushing my windpipe. "Elara is dead because of you!" "Every moment I spent with you as your mate, I wanted to kill you," he whispered, his voice dripping with venom. "You destroyed the only person I ever truly loved." He released me suddenly. I collapsed to the floor, gasping and coughing. The pungent smell of gasoline grew stronger. I looked up in horror as Damien systematically poured the liquid across our beautifully decorated mating chamber at Shadowmere Manor. "What are you doing?" I screamed, scrambling backward. Damien pulled out his silver lighter, the metal gleaming in the dim light. His lips curved into a cruel smile. "I'm sending you to HELL!" he roared. The lighter flew from his hand, hitting the gasoline-soaked floor. Flames erupted instantly, racing across the room like hungry demons. I ran toward the door, but Damien kicked me brutally back into the inferno. My body slammed against the wall as he stepped outside. "Goodbye, Seraphina Thorne," he said coldly, slamming the door shut. The lock clicked. I was trapped. I rushed to the windows, pulling desperately at the handles. They wouldn't budge. Damien had planned this perfectly. The flames grew higher, consuming everything in their path. Smoke filled the air, making it impossible to breathe. Then I smelled something else mixed with the smoke. Something metallic and bitter. Wolfsbane. Damien had poisoned the air itself. My wolf whimpered inside me, terrified and weakening rapidly, also lost the ability to resist I can't control my self, shifting into my wolf form, my silver-gray fur immediately singed by the heat. Wolves fear fire above all else. Every instinct screamed at me to run, but there was nowhere to go. The flames licked at my paws. Pain shot through my body as my fur began to burn. I collapsed, my strength fading. The wolfsbane made everything worse, poisoning my blood and making my wolf retreat deep inside me. This was how I would die. Betrayed by the man I loved most. Just as darkness began to claim me, a tremendous crash echoed through the room. The door exploded inward. Through the smoke and flames, a figure rushed toward me. "Sorry, Sera, I'm late." Kaelan Blackwood. The Alpha King of Blackmoon Pack. The man who had confessed his love to me on my twenty-second birthday, only to be rejected. He scooped me up in his arms, his strong body shielding me from the flames. Even in my weakened state, I could feel his wolf's power radiating through him. "Kaelan," I whispered, shocked. "Why are you here?" He didn't answer, just held me tighter as he carried me toward the door. But the fire was too intense. The heat overwhelmed us both. I tried to warn him about the wolfsbane, but my voice was gone. My consciousness was slipping away. The last thing I saw was Kaelan shifting into his magnificent silver-black wolf, his massive form covering me protectively as the flames consumed everything around us. Even as the fire burned us both, he never let go. Foolish, selfless love. Darkness swallowed me whole. But then, something strange happened. A warm light enveloped my spirit, growing brighter with each passing moment. A voice echoed in my mind, ancient and powerful. "Child of the moon," the Moon Goddess spoke, her words flowing through me like liquid starlight. "Your fate was stolen from you. I offer you a chance to reclaim it." "Yes," I gasped, my soul reaching toward that divine light. "Please, let me go back." "Change your destiny. Take revenge on those who wronged you. Cherish those who truly love you." The warmth intensified, and I felt myself being pulled backward through time. "I will," I promised. "I'll make them all pay." Consciousness faded again, but this time, it felt like falling into a gentle sleep. When awareness returned, it came with shouting voices and the sound of heated argument. "Where is that boy?" my father Alpha Thorne's voice boomed. "How dare he abandon his engagement ceremony!" "Old pal, please calm down," Alpha Magnus Volkov, Damien's father, replied. "I'm sure there's an explanation." "Explanation?" My mother's voice was sharp with anger. "Damien left our daughter standing at the altar! This is humiliating!" "Luna Marianne, we're trying to reach him," Luna Cassandra's voice was strained. "We've sent people to look everywhere." I opened my eyes slowly, taking in my surroundings. The elegant ballroom of Thornfield Estate stretched before me, decorated with white roses and golden ribbons. My engagement party. The one Damien had abandoned five years ago. The Moon Goddess had truly brought me back. Memories of my past life crashed over me like a tidal wave. The years of loving Damien. The betrayal. The fire. The pain. Tears streamed down my face as the full weight of what had happened‚what would happen‚hit me. But beneath the grief, something else grew. Something cold and sharp and unforgiving. Rage. Damien Volkov had destroyed me once. He had taken my love, my trust, my very life and thrown it all away for another woman. Never again. This time, I would be the one in control. This time, I would make him pay for every moment of suffering he had caused me. I stood up slowly, my amber eyes hardening with newfound resolve. The arguing voices fell silent as I approached the group of parents. "Let's cancel the engagement," I said firmly, my voice cutting through the tension like a blade.
