Lucian woke up early. He would run for about an hour, and when he got home, he would take a shower, get dressed, then have his coffee. But his sister, Pietra, beat him to it this morning. She was already dressed. He glanced at the clock to see if it was time to change the battery in the wall clock, but it was working just fine. “Going somewhere?” he asked his sister. He grabbed a mug from the cupboard and poured himself some coffee from the pot. Pietra had just made fresh brewed coffee. “New York. I mentioned it to you last week.” Lucian frowned. “Vacation?” Pietra rolled her eyes at her brother.
