He could see many dead bodies, and the ones left to die were already infected like Seth's pack from the other night. More than the war itself, the infection was going to kill the wolves of the moonlit. Lucian targeted the beasts specifically. He killed every beast and rogue that crossed his path.
The earth dagger had awoken, so it not only wounded the beasts but swiftly killed them. Lucian could feel the power surge in him. He had almost died trying to keep up the shield while awakening the earth dagger. The dagger was returning him the favor by boosting his strength and stamina. He did not need to shift to his wolf to counteract his enemies. He could leap, glide, move and jump at much ease.
