Danaya was in a shambles when she finished her work. She could not even remember how she managed to pour Kyros' drinks without slashing the vampire's throat. Danaya's heart was filled with rage when she realized he was talking about Maya.
"Danaya, hey," Alister said, attempting to catch her attention.
"Ali..."
"I know," Alister said as he unclenched her fist. "It bled," he said, wiping the blood off Danaya's palm.
"I will kill him," Danaya declared, full of conviction.
"And you will. I will make sure you do," Alister said.
"How?" Danaya asked. "He had many bodyguards around him," she explained, her frustration growing.
"Do not worry, I will make it work," Alister said before driving away.
Danaya went straight to her room after their conversation, but she was unable to fall asleep.
