Kino was fast enough to grab his phone and dial a number. I was about to run out but he held my hand. “Stay here,” he told me in a serious voice.
I was already hysterical. Fear is already eating me up inside. Something might have happened to Kenna and I just can’t stay here and do nothing! “I need to see my daughter!” I exclaimed and tried to get out of his grip.
But Kino shook his head and stared at me intently. “I’ll go down,” he told me before talking to someone on the phone. “What happened?” he asked whoever was on the other line.
