“Sir, the guy has a dismissed case of assault in Vegas five years ago,” Storm, the private investigator that I hired, told me while handing me the folder. “We also found out that he’s two years into sobriety for alcoholism and had therapies for anger management.”
I narrowed my eyes as I looked into the file to check if they had the right person. Based on the way Denise described him, he seems like a perfect guy. I would definitely concede to him if need be but not now that he’s already had me questioning his motives.
“Why did he go to Australia?” I asked.
“He’s Australian.” I furrowed my brows. “His parents are based in Sydney and since getting out of the rehab, he’s been instated as a manager in a finance company which is actually asking for your…investment.”
