Maddie's POV
I was so happy to be discharged from hospital today. These few days have been a bit of torture just being in the hospital. I tried to shut everything off in my mind. That was the worst part, doing nothing and thoughts just came back. I do feel bad that Mariko had to lose out on some work but he was determined to be with me. It was all my fault for putting him in this position from that night of my accidental overdose.
I am also moving into Mariko's apartment today. He is happy about it and I also like to see him smile after everything that has happened. I never saw my mother again after she came to visit me, but I was okay with that. I didn't need the extra drama in my life as I already had them.
