Maddie's POV
I hurried out of Mariko's office, hoping to catch up with him, but he was already gone when I got to the end of the hallway. I felt this pang of sadness. I don't know what happened, that Amber and Bella are in the hospital. I walked over to my desk as if there was lot of pressure on me. As if the world was on me. I was worried about Mariko.
I took a seat behind my desk but I just couldn't focus on my work. I sat and stared at nothing, just worried. "I heard what had happened," I looked up at Lana, she stood in front of my desk, giving me a weak smile.
"Yeah, I just want to make sure that he is okay, that everyone is okay," I replied softly.
