I woke up the next day feeling groggy. I didn't get much sleep after arguing with my dad. Also, after he left, I heard Tori speaking with the guard, but my father had given the instruction to let me rest, so they didn't let her in. I needed to rest because as soon as Draven left, I noticed how my body slumped. Kira told me we were drained; her little stunt to stop Calean from finding me was not easy, and she was also tired.
After a good night's sleep, I expected to feel rested, but instead, I felt like a truck had hit me at high speed. Every single joint hurt and I had a pulsating headache.
Damn it.
"It is the bond; we need to find Draven," Kira informed me, but that made no sense.
"Why? Like I want to be with him, but distance pains aren't supposed to be like this," I replied.
