I locked myself in my room after Draven vanished. I didn’t want to answer all the questions that my family would surely ask me. The only one I let it was Tori, but Lillian tagged alone. So far, they haven't said anything to me, but soon they will ask questions; I could feel it.
"We are not going to ask questions," Lillian reassured me.
"Can you read minds?" I asked. That question has been nagging me since I met her a few hours ago.
"No, I can't; only Mom does," she said. Tori gasped, and I narrowed my eyes. "I can feel people's intentions and fears, which kind of works as reading minds if you ask me."
Well, at least she can't read my mind, but that doesn't explain why I could hear her presence inside my head.
