Chapter Thirty-Eight Erik kept pace with Jia’s exoskeleton as they ran through the rubble-strewn city. Half the building had collapsed, blast marks or holes marring the debris. Huge craters lay all over, along with the smoking remnants of destroyed vehicles. A true battlefield would have had more bodies, but Erik wasn’t worried.
