The sound of a ringtone pulled me from my sleep.
Ben was supposed to go train today. He promised. I've been here for two days, I'm fine and he needs to train, I'm not going to just randomly die or break another bone.
(Hopefully I didn't jinx myself and the ceiling doesn't fall on me.)
"I told you to go train." I let out aggravated pulling myself from my sleep and opening my eyes.
To my surprise, it wasn't Ben. That and it was brighter than I remembered the damn room being.
"Yeah, I just thought I'd check up on you. Brought some flowers." Ryker said placing the vase of red tulips on the counter.
I eyed them momentarily before staring back at him "Oh, thanks. Some i***t hit me with his truck. Still alive though." I said with a bit of pettiness and sat up.
