*One week later* A week later and hanging out with Nina and Marcy wasn't such a bad idea. Unlike Cleo they are a little immature but they are very noble, or so I think, to tell the truth we've been having fun the last few days. Although when they went with this " New look " thing they were really like a pain in the ass. -Well, where will we go? -Let's go to my house. -No, let's go to mine. -said Marcy. -Maybe we should go to a neutral place. -I said, interrupting the two of them. They both looked at me strangely, and began to laugh. -Don't be simple Eva, we don't go to "neutral places". -Let's go to my house, there will be no one there. -I suggested. Marcy and Nina looked at me blankly. -Will you really invite us to your home? -Amm, yes, I mean it's not luxurious like yours but it's still a house. -Great. -they both answer, as always. -Do you have a car? -No, I like to walk. -Well, not anymore. We'll go in Nina's car. -Girls I... don't think so. -Please, I hate walking. -It's okay. The school routine was pretty much the same, getting up, showering, eating breakfast, and going to school. Unlike now, Nina and Marcy were picking me up. *** 6:30 am -Eva! Wake up, it's time to get up. -shouts my aunt behind my door. -I'm coming. -It's Friday anyway, so you can't be lazy like that. -Ash, when she wants to, she behaves like a mother I took off my pajamas and prepared to take a quick shower, the water was supposed to wake me up, or I expected that. Fifteen minutes later I came out of the bathroom straight to get dressed. I took my brown blouse short sleeve, a pair of black jeans and a black sweater, I tied my hair in a high ponytail and go down to the dining room. -Good morning aunt. -Good morning -she answers, taking a sip of her coffee. -By the way, there's something for you on the table. I walked over to the table and found a worn white envelope and perfect handwriting. I opened it and could see that it was a letter. I sat down in the nearest chair and began to read it. Hello my lovely girl, today is a very special day, that's why you have this letter in your hands. First of all, congratulations! Today you have become from a little girl, to a woman, I would give anything to be with you. Your aunt Helena has taken care of you, that's why I'll ask you to love her, she can to be a little reckless, bossy and bipolar, but I know she loves you very much. I know you've already discussed this with Hele (your aunt), guys, be very careful, I know you're intelligent my child, I have no doubt about it. Love, laugh, enjoy, forgive, dream and have fun as if it were the last day. Hopefully you will be able to succeed, baby, I am confident of it. I would give my life to be with you right now. But I am with you from where I am, Taking care of you, I love you Eva. And you are the best that could happen to me. Pd:Use your money wisely, you must shine and be great, immensely great. Sophia It was the best birthday present, a letter written by my mother and a photo where I guess she is hugging me. -Happy birthday Eva. -says my aunt giving me a golden card. -This... can I use it? -I ask with a surprised tone. -Yes, in whatever you want. -She raises her eyebrows in excitement. -It's 100,000 just for you, and you can spend them on whatever you want. -Isn't it money from my studies? -No, that's a gift from me. -She crosses her arms in a presumptuous manner. -Thank you, aunt. -Go now, or you'll be late.-She hurries me. I take my things and excitedly go out to the institute. One street away from my house Marcy and Nina caught up with me, I got in the car and said hello. -Hello girls. -Hello Eva. -They both say hello in chorus, as always. -Eva, Marcy and I talked about something important. -Nina mentions it as seriously as possible. -What is it? -I asked intrigued. -We want to know what you thought about our friendship. -To be honest, they're very nice. And I don't know how the hell that happened, but I kind of like you. -Does that mean we'll be friends? -asks Marcy. -I think so. -I answered hesitantly. -Do you know what that means, Nina? -A change of look! -they shouted excitedly. -What?! -You my dear Eva will have a change of look. -Nina repeats as if it were something unique in the world. -It's also your birthday, and I brought something for you. Marcy takes out a black bracelet with gold beads and a gold BFF pendant. If you ask me, I think it's something I never imagined I'd be receiving on this day and from them. -It's not necessary, I think that your company is enough. -Eva accept it, we have one. -Nina mentions as they both raise their arms to show me. -Okay. -It's time for a change! -shouts Nina with strength. -It's time to be free! -Marcy proceeds. -It's time for them to meet Eve! I firmly and confidently declared. -Well, where will we go? -First we're going to have them do something with your hair, it's not that bad, but we want it to show off. -says Marcy stroking my hair. -Then we'll go get some in-season clothes, between us, my mother's friend gives us an extra discount every time we go shopping, obviously the final bill must have several zeros so she can do it. -confesses Nina with a tone of complicity, as if having a discount is a federal crime. -Okay, but nothing fancy, I want to still be me. -I asked nicely waiting to not refuse. -It's okay. -Both of them responded giving the look of few friends. I wonder if one day they will stop talking in chorus. -Well, let's go, there's a pool party tonight and we have to be there. -Party! -shouts Nina enthusiastically. -Party, where? -At Marco's house, like every fifteen days that his parents are away. -I don't think it's... -Good idea? -Marcy asks with her arms crossed in sign that she won't take a No for an answer. -Yes," I whisper. -How do you know it's not a good idea? -I don't know, I've never been there and I... -Nothing, nothing. -She interrupts me-, we'll go and I won't take a No for an answer. Besides, now things are different, we are friends now, aren't we? I sit down and they both give me a puppy face. -Say yes. -begs Nina. -Okay, you don't need to make that sad puppy face. We'll go to the party. They both applaud and laugh enthusiastically, I hope I'm not making a mistake by going to that party. Although I confess that I am dying to see Marco, I am a little worried about being in the same place where Ian and Harry will be. -Let's go do some shopping. -I say trying to keep bad thoughts away. My new friends just smile and grab both my arms, it'll sound crazy but I'm starting to get used to their company.
