"Is it working!?" I ask Lucy.
She has her hands over Harley's chest and slowly moves them up and down.
"I... think so." Lucy says.
"But why isn't she healing?"
"I-I don't know."
"Can't we just turn her into a vampire?" Sergio says coming from out of nowhere.
He is covered in blood.
"No." Lucy says.
"Have you tried?" He asks. "I'll gladly do it."
"She's draconian. They can't be turned." Lucy says.
Arthur gives him a punch in the back.
"Ow! Uncalled for. It was just a suggestion." Sergio says.
The battle still wages around us but we are all consumed with worry for Harley. Esme, along with her sister Parthenia and her friends keep the enemy away from us as we try to help Harley.
