The next day, I woke up with Demi in my arms.
She fell asleep as soon as the film started; I didn’t have the heart to move her. When the film came to the middle, I shut it off and made Demi more comfortable.
I quickly got ready for bed and climbed beside her again, pulling her into my chest.
Sleep came naturally to me, but I must admit, it was the best night’s sleep I had in a while.
Demi was still sleeping. Her head was on my chest, while her leg was over my lower body.
I didn’t want to move as I stared at the ceiling.
Shadow was snoring loudly in my head. He felt calm, especially as our mate was in our arms.
“You awake,” Demi whispered, which made me smile.
“Yeah,” I said as she moved her head and looked at me.
I looked back at her, her eyes met mine, and a smile appeared
