I stared in disbelief at what I had just witnessed.
A mind link opened up, and it was Elias.
“Dude,” he whispered, “I wouldn’t like to get on the wrong side of your mate.”

Shadow stared on with pride as he buffed out his chest that his mate had defeated Emma in his honor.

I stepped closer and leaned into her. “Dem,” I whispered.
Her eyes were on the heart that was still in her hands.
“You can let go now, Demi,” Alpha Troy said, placing his hand on her shoulder.
Her hand let go of the heart, and it dropped to the floor.
