CHAPTER FORTY-NINE ENGAGED Thursday arrives dressed like a lie. It looks nothing like how I really feel inside. The sun is quite bright. The birds are loud, swimming in that sweet early morning melody. Even the city moves like nothing terrible is about to happen.
