TWENTY ONE REED’S POV “She said no. I mean can you believe that?” I finally broke the silence that had ensued in my office, shaking my head in disbelief. Sure, I had expected some bit of difficult but I just never thought that she’d flat right out reject me. Rejected twice in two consecutive days by two different women; that had to be a record.   “Actually I can,” Jade did not help make me feel any better.   “I know. What was I thinking even going for her? She hates me and just because I kissed her once doesn’t mean I’m attracted to her, right?
