I’m glad I know where Sadie and Micah are now, and as soon as he told me where he’d taken her, I saw just how smart it was. I don’t think anyone knows about that place besides us. It was forgotten a long time ago, and since Beta Aldric never cared much about what his son did, he probably never even knew that we used to play there, not like my dad did.
It’s about the only good news I have right now though. I keep getting reports of casualties. Obviously the Beta knows we’re tracking him now, so he’s started setting his people to attack us. I can’t believe these are our friends, our packmates, all turned against us, and for what? To take control of the pack and stop us mingling with humans? It all seems so petty and pointless to me, but they’re not going to get away with it
