The next week goes incredibly quickly. I can't remember ever feeling as excited about anything as I do about the secret mission that Logan, Sadie and I are working on. Finally, I'm going to prove to everyone exactly what I can do.
Logan thinks that if we try to go through his dad, my dad will find a way to block us, and I can't really argue with that. While Logan's dad is including him more in the pack management day-to-day, especially now that's about to turn 18, mine is still determined to keep his own iron grip over all the Beta's duties.
It's like he sees me as a threat to his power rather than his successor that he should be training. I don't understand it at all.
But Logan argues that we don't need their support to go ahead with our plan, and once again, I agree
