Mila The sky turned light gray, belying the late hour. A light flurry scattered tiny flakes of white through the air as we climbed into Lucas' extended cab dually. The engine warmed up, dust coating the truck's black paint job. The feathery flakes blew away from the truck as soon as Lucas pulled onto the main road. I wish I could leave my anxiety behind with the wind. I couldn't get over Sophie's promise of revenge. She believed I'd wronged her and now I'd corrupted her poor innocent Oliver.
